Ann Allen wins BEE Award from St. Mary’s Hospital

Ann Allen, MD, associate professor, fellowship director, Division of Hospital Medicine and Complex Care, has been selected to receive the BEE (Being Exceptional Everyday) Award for demonstrating great teamwork and communication skills, compassion, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence. The Bee Award was created in the spirit of the DAISY Award: The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care delivered by nurses every day. Allen’s care exemplifies the kind of team member that patients, families, and other healthcare workers recognize as outstanding. Her work with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) was highlighted in her selection for this award.
