Dr. Dorota Walkiewicz-Jedrzejczak is associate professor (CHS) in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology.
She has actively participated in professional societies, including the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG). In recognition of her significant contributions to the care of children, she has been listed twice in Madison Magazine’s Top Docs for Pediatric Gastroenterology.
Clinical Interests
Walkiewicz-Jedrzejczak’s clinical expertise lies in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology. Her clinical practice includes providing comprehensive care to children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other gastrointestinal disorders.
She has been trained in providing clinical hypnosis in children with functional bowel disorders.
Research Interests
Walkiewicz-Jedrzejczak’s research interests are centered on advancing our understanding of pediatric inflammatory bowel disease. Her recent research involves assessing sleep disturbances in children and adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease. Her active involvement in research includes investigating the epidemiology, clinical characteristics, and natural history of pediatric IBD in Wisconsin.
