Professional Activities

Dr. Heather Peto is a clinical associate professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine and Complex Care. She has a joint appointment in the Department of Medicine where she is a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine. Peto’s professional interests include improving the quality of patient and family transitions from pediatric to adult hospital medicine.

Clinical Interests

Peto’s clinical time is evenly divided between internal medicine and pediatrics to facilitate her interest in this transition. Her other long-term interests include global health and the impacts of cultural and environment factors on health care delivery.

Research Interests

Peto is interested in developing educational and professional materials that clearly compare and contrast the culture and practice of medicine between adult and pediatric medicine, particularly in hospital settings.
