Professional Activities

Dr. Elizabeth (Betsy) Peterson is assistant professor in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She has been in pediatric primary care private practice since 2005, starting and co-owning the practice. The clinic joined the University of Wisconsin in 2024. Peterson has been a faculty member at the AAP National Conference multiple times, speaking on practice management, as well as on rural pediatrics. She was on the National AAP Private Payer Advisory Council, working with insurance companies to appropriately pay for services for children. She has also served on the Wisconsin Chapter AAP Board, and is also currently the vice president of the chapter.

Clinical Interests

Peterson has a clinical interest in ADHD and mental health, as well as practice management of coding, billing, and payment.
