Professional Activities

Peggy Modaff is associate professor (CHS) in the Division of Genetics and Metabolism. She is a clinical supervisor for the Public Health Master of Genetic Counselor Studies (MGCS) program and also serves on the advisory and performance review committee for this program. Her main interests include caring for individuals with skeletal dysplasias. She is on the Medical Advisory Board for the Little People of America.

Clinical Interests

Modaff is a distinguished genetic counselor with special interest in individuals with skeletal dysplasia as well as metabolic bone disorders. She is also involved with the Cystic Fibrosis newborn screening program and is a member of the Wisconsin Newborn Screening CF Molecular Subcommittee.

Research Interests

Modaff’s research work mainly focuses on clinical research as it relates to increasing the knowledge and improving the care of individuals with bone dysplasias. Previous research has been conducted on genetic counseling practices within the CF Newborn Screening Program.
