Professional Activities

Dr. Camilla Matthews is associate professor (CHS) in the Division of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. She serves as the director of the pediatric sleep medicine program, which provides care at both American Family Children’s Hospital and Wisconsin Sleep. Matthews is interested in sleep medicine education across disciplines including pediatrics, psychiatry, ENT, pulmonology, and neurology and is a member the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) education committee. 

Matthews has an affiliate appointment in the Department of Medicine

Clinical Interests

Matthews is a pediatric sleep medicine physician with broad interests in sleep medicine including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and parasomnias. She has a special interest in the impacts of sleep disorders on children with complex medical issues and underlying genetic disorders.

Research Interests

Matthews participates in clinical research related to sleep apnea in children with Trisomy 21 and achondroplasia as well as sleep disturbances in pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
