Professional Activities

Dr. Andrea Jones is clinical associate professor in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She also serves as the residency continuity clinic director. 

Clinical Interests

Jones is a pediatrician with a passion for providing comprehensive care to her patients, many of whom have complex medical or behavioral health concerns. In addition to understanding her patient’s immediate health concerns, Jones strives to understand how their home, school, work lives, unique individual and cultural perspectives, and long-term goals affect their health and well-being.

Research Interests

Jones’ research strives to uphold the Department of Pediatrics’ core educational values and to support each resident-preceptor team. She regularly analyzes data on patient encounters across all continuity sites to tailor education and ensure residents receive a balanced experience. The aim of her research is ensuring that program graduates are well trained in general pediatrics, regardless of the specialty they pursue.
