Professional Activities
Dr. Margo Hoover-Regan is professor (CHS) in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant. She is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, as well as the Children’s Oncology Group. With her clinical interest and experience in treating sarcomas, Hoover-Regan also serves as a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s Bone Cancer Committee. She has published clinic research, experiences, and case reports in both pediatric oncology and palliative care peer-reviewed journals.
Clinical Interests
Hoover-Regan is interested in all aspects of pediatric oncology, with a more focused interest in bone and soft tissue sarcomas. She is passionate about pediatric palliative care (PPC) and led efforts to develop a multidisciplinary PPC program at the University of Wisconsin. That program is now one of the most often consulted services in American Family Children’s Hospital. Hoover-Regan is dedicated to clear, compassionate communication with children and families.
Research Interests
As a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, Hoover-Regan enrolls pediatric cancer patients in multi-institutional clinical trials regularly. As a clinician in the pediatric hematology and oncology division, she also enrolls and cares for patients in clinical trials available only here at the University of Wisconsin or at a limited number of intuitions nationally and internationally.
