Professional Activities

Dr. Kaylin Didier is scientist I in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, Transplant, and Cellular Therapy. She is skilled in cerebrovascular blood flow, vascular physiology, and cardiovascular physiology. During her time at the University of Wisconsin, she was awarded the NASA Research in Space Health fellowship, where she investigated the impact of radiation on immune cells and their inflammatory response, specifically looking at sex differences. In addition, Didier has received the American Association of Immunologists Diversity Travel Award and the Rankin-Skatrud Lectureship Conference Stipend for Postdoctoral Fellow. Furthermore, for her research, the University of Wisconsin – Madison Postdoctoral Symposium Blitz Talk Judge’s Choice Winner and the Charles Tipton Postdoctoral Research Award.

Research Interests

Didier is an independent researcher interested in the assessment of special populations and their attenuated ability to perform daily tasks due to physiological impairments. She strives to determine the causes of these impairments and find a method to alleviate the damage. By combining her interests in vascular physiology and inflammation produced by the immune system, Didier pursues novel and relevant research that will give insight into the interaction of these systems in special populations.
