Sinisa Dovat, MD, DSc, was awarded $50,000 from the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer for his project, “The Role of Ikaros in Malignant Transformation.” The goal of this project is to understand the mechanism by which Ikaros controls cellular proliferation, as Ikaros is essential for normal hematopoiesis and acts as a tumor suppressor.
