Congratulations to Ryan Coller, MD, MPH, assistant professor and division chief, Hospital Medicine, and co-Principal Investigator, Nicole Werner, PhD, associate professor of engineering, along with Michelle Chui, PhD, professor of pharmacology, who were recently awarded a grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality for their project, “Improving medication safety for medically complex children with mHealth across caregiving networks.” Expected to total $1.5 million over three years, the project will create a mobile health (mHealth) platform, Medication Safety @HOME (MedS@HOME) to improve medication safety for children with medical complexity by supporting standardized medication management across the caregiving network. The team’s goals are to increase medication administration accuracy, reduce medication-related adverse events, and ultimately improve chronic care management.
