Two members of the Department of Pediatrics computer services team have accepted leadership roles with the School of Medicine and Public Health Office of Informatics and Information Technology (SMPH IIT).

James Padley, IT director I, has accepted the role of Director, Project Management and Business Relationship Management. Padley has served as the department’s IT director since July 2022. In his new role, he will work to build the Project and Business Relationship service lines and develop the team and processes to support departments within SMPH.

Philip Doll, IT manager, has accepted the role of Business Relationship Manager (BRM). Doll has been at the helm of the Department of Pediatrics IT team since 2003. With his more than 21 years of service, his skill, expertise, enthusiasm, dedication, drive, and experience providing solution-based service for the faculty and staff make him superbly suited for his new role.

These opportunities were made possible by the SMPH Information and Informatics Technology Collaborative. The goal of the project is to unify SMPH’s common services under a centralized management structure and efficiently and effectively support the growing needs of SMPH and its departments, institutes, and centers.
