Two Department of Pediatrics education staff were recently recognized for their contributions to education program management. Chris Wickler, fellowships program manager, received the Rising Star Coordinator of the Year award from the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s GME Coordinator Advisory Council. Chris received multiple nominations for the award, which recognizes a residency or fellowship coordinator’s professionalism and dedication to their role and their commitment to continually improving their program.
Separately, Kari Bruckner, GME administrator and residency program manager, was accepted into the Association of Pediatric Program Director’s Leadership Empowerment for Advancing Pediatric Education Specialists, or LEAPES, program. This national cohort of GME leaders is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and networking for those who wish to gain expertise needed to guide the success of GME programs and advance their GME careers.
