An important mission of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition is to carry out clinical research in areas related to inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, celiac disease, and gastroesophageal reflux. Our ultimate research goal is to improve the health and quality of life of children diagnosed with gastrointestinal disorders. The division is active in several multisite drug trials. Several of our faculty have leadership positions on national QI and research collaboratives and serve as independent primary investigators on multiple local research initiatives.
