Dipesh Navsaria begins joint appointment with School of Human Ecology

Dipesh Navsaria, MPH, MSLIS, MD

Congratulations to Dipesh Navsaria, MPH, MSLIS, MD, associate professor, General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, who began a joint appointment as a clinical associate professor of human development and family studies at UW–Madison’s School of Human Ecology (SoHE) on August 1.  His dual appointments, which are split equally between both schools, recognize the interdisciplinary work of enhancing the health of children and supporting families. At SoHE, Navsaria will develop and teach a class on the ecologies of childhood and continue his public engagement work with early childhood educators and the general public.  He will also be creating a multidisciplinary center related to parenting support, programming, early literacy, and child advocacy, and he will serve as a faculty fellow at the UW Child Development Lab. These roles are interwoven with his existing work in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Navsaria will continue working clinically at Urgent Care, and he will remain strongly engaged with the early literacy program Reach Out and Read Wisconsin, where he serves as medical director.
