
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Bonnie Ramsey and Richard C. Talamo Distinguished Clinical Achievement Award recognizes those who have spent their careers in research of and care for people with cystic fibrosis, and whose contributions have altered the course of the disease. Philip Farrell, MD, PhD, emeritus dean and professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Population Health Sciences, received this award for his national research efforts over many decades devoted to improvement of cystic fibrosis newborn screening and treatment programs.
