Tess Jewell, MD, MPH
Credentials: University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health
Position title: PGY-2 Resident, Physician-Scientist Training Pathway
Dr. Tess Jewell grew up in the Boston area, but she has lived in the Midwest since she completed her undergraduate degree at Oberlin College in gender, sexuality and feminist studies, and biology. She chose to go into pediatrics because she loves working with kids and families and enjoys supporting children’s health at various developmental and life stages. Within pediatrics, her particular interest is in endocrinology, gender-affirming care, and supporting kids with variations of sex characteristics and their families. Broadly, Jewell is interested in LGBTQ+ health and inclusive medical education. Outside of medicine, she loves horseback riding and spending time with her horse, Poppy. She also enjoys long-distance running.
