Three undergraduate students mentored by Department of Pediatrics faculty members were recognized during the UW–Madison Chancellor’s Undergraduate Awards Ceremony on April 28. The ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate the university’s tremendously talented undergraduates and recognize them for the ways they exemplify the Wisconsin Idea by taking what they learn inside the classroom and applying it to real-world problems on campus, in the community, and across the world.
Hilldale Undergraduate/Faculty Research Fellowship
Each year, through funding from the Hilldale Foundation and the Wisconsin State Legislature, the Hilldale Undergraduate/Faculty Research Fellowships provide about 100 undergraduate students the opportunity to pursue their own research projects in collaboration with UW–Madison faculty members. The fellowships provide research training and support, as well as a $4,000 stipend, to student researcher recipients. Faculty advisors receive $1,000 to help offset research costs.
