Professional Activities

Dr. Bridget O’Connell-Long is assistant professor (CHS) in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She is a general pediatrician and physician informaticist. O’Connell-Long became interested in medical informatics after working for Epic prior to attending medical school. Prior to coming to UW, she worked as a general pediatrician at a community health center.

Clinical Interests

As a general pediatrician, O’Connell-Long cares for children from birth through young adulthood. Her particular clinical interests include early childhood development, health effects of childhood poverty, and preventive health care.

Research Interests

O’Connell-Long is interested in how technology can be leveraged to improve the care of patients, as well as physician efficiency and well-being. She is also interested in medical education.
