Professional Activities

Dr. Jay Miesfeld is clinical assistant professor in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. He is a general pediatrician who has been practicing in the Beaver Dam area since 2010. Miesfeld enjoys caring for newborns in their local hospitals, and his primary focus is preventative and sick care for children in the local community. He enjoys having the opportunity to share his knowledge of pediatrics with student learners and has worked with many medical, master of arts, licensed practical nurses, and nurse practitioner students, as well as residents over his career.

Clinical Interests

Miesfeld enjoys watching children grow from infants into children and adolescents. He has a particular interest in asthma and cares for many patients with this medical condition. He loves to read and has enjoyed providing books to families as part of the Reach Out and Read program.
