Our residents are a close group at work and outside of work. Some residents are married, some are single. Several have kids (and they are cute kids!). We have a number of medical couples who have matched in Madison together—the program works with other departments to align schedules when possible. While we work hard, we also hang out frequently after work and on the weekends enjoying Madison and beyond.
We believe that balancing personal time with the rigors of residency training fosters personal and professional wellness, which is critical to a successful career in pediatrics.
We believe it is important for residents to establish meaningful relationships in order to function as a cohesive unit when providing patient care. Learn more about our social events, work spaces and other resources that promote resident wellness.
