Brittany Allen wins Heyman Award

Brittany (Britt) Allen, MD, associate professor, Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, was selected as the recipient of the 2025 Richard B. Heyman Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics (APP) Council on Adolescents and Young Adults (CoAYA). This award honors a member who has made significant contributions to improving health outcomes for adolescents or to educating pediatricians about the unique health care needs of this population. Allen was selected in recognition of her leadership and expertise in transgender and gender-diverse health care at the local, regional, and national levels. The award will be announced in the September issue of AAP News.
