Brian Williams to serve on AAP’s Section on Nicotine and Tobacco Prevention and Treatment

Brian Williams, MDBrian Williams, MD, associate professor, Division of Hospital Medicine and Complex Care, has been invited to serve on the Executive Committee for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Nicotine and Tobacco Prevention and Treatment. Williams’ term began in July of this year and will continue through October 2026. The Section on Nicotine and Tobacco Prevention and Treatment aims to raise awareness about the importance of the prevention of tobacco product initiation and exposure, treatment of dependence, and elimination of children’s exposure to tobacco and nicotine and their emissions. Further, it aims to create support for pediatricians, other physicians, and health providers in this goal.
