What is your favorite part of your job? I like talking with kids and their caregivers during some of the most anxious moments of their lives and providing the necessary medical care they need. I like being part of the team that helps many kids feel better.
What skills or knowledge did you learn throughout the UW Pediatrics Residency Program that you found most useful in your career? Be curious, kind, and professional, and remember that there are many team members involved, including the child and their family.
What advice would you give your fellow or trainee self? Be authentic, always.
Are there any courses, professors, faculty members, experiences, or opportunities from your time training at UW that have had a lasting influence? There are too many to count in the Department of Pediatrics; however, Dr. Nikki St Clair has continued to offer guidance, encouragement, and valuable insights as I’ve navigated challenges and grown both personally and professionally.
What is your best memory from your time in Madison? My first time at the Prairie Moraine Dog Park with my dog, Felix, where I met my now husband shortly after moving to Madison for residency.
