Congratulations to Carl Stafstrom, MD, PhD, for being named the 2012 recipient of the American Neurological Association’s Distinguished Neurology Teaching Award. Carl is being recognized at the national level for his remarkable career-long teaching efforts in so many ways – medical students, residents, faculty, on the local and national levels. Carl joins a very distinguished list of individuals whose teaching efforts have had significant impact on trainees in Neurology. This recognition is in no small way due to the fact that during the last decade, Carl has inspired a significant subset of the total national number of medical students who have chosen to pursue careers in pediatric neurology.
