DESCRIPTION:Date: Thursday\, October 10\, 2024 \nTime: 7:30-8:30 a.m. CST in HSLC 1335 and via Zoom \nZoom Link \nTitle: Development and Validation of the Phoenix Criteria for Sepsis and Septic Shock in Children \nSession Overview: \nSepsis is a life-threatening condition and is one of the leading causes of death in children around the world. The SCCM Pediatric Sepsis Definition Task Force recently published the new Phoenix criteria for sepsis and septic shock in children. In this talk we will introduction the development of the Phoenix Sepsis Score using a data-driven\, machine learning approach with an international database\, as well as the development and validation of the new Phoenix criteria for sepsis and septic shock. We will present the research methodology behind the Phoenix Sepsis Score\, drawing insights from extensive international data analysis and validation across diverse clinical settings.
