Alyssa worked in the Kling lab from 2009-2011. She has a Bachelors degree in Biology from UW-Madison. She primarily coordinated the Iron Deficiency Anemia in Infancy (IDA) clinical research project and studied the impact of maternal obesity on newborn health. She received her graduate degree in Nutritional Sciences in the fall of 2011.
- Morgan Webber
Morgan was a medical student at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. She started work in the lab in 2014. She worked on a study investigating the relationship between maternal obesity, fetal iron deficiency, and infant immune system development.
- Micaela E Zywicki
Micaela was an undergraduate student at UW-Madison majoring in Genetics with a certificate in Global Health. She started work in the lab in 2014. Her research involved Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR), which is linked to developmental programming of lifelong pathophysiology. She studied fetal sheep biochemical values in IUGR through measures reflecting placental, liver, and fetal kidney dysfunction. Her career goal was to attend medical school and work in the field of Pediatrics.
