Pamela Kling, MD, was recently awarded $150,000 over 3 years from Thrasher Research fund for her project, “Early Screening and Interventions for Infants At-Risk for Iron Deficiency.” This project will study iron deficiency in infancy and the effect that delayed umbilical cord clamping at birth has on long-term infant iron status.
