Dr. Megan Moreno Receives $2.5 Million Grant for Five Year Project

Dr. Megan Moreno, MD, MSEd, MPH, recently received a research project grant (R01) awarded at just under $2.5 million in total cost for her 5-year project, “Using Media to Explore Mechanisms of Behavior Change Among College Students,” from the National Institutes of Health – National Institute on Drug Abuse. This project will test the predictive value of Facebook as a substance use identification tool, evaluate a provisional model of Facebook as a mediator of behavior change and explore methods by which Facebook can be used as a targeted intervention tool.
