The SCCM Pediatric Sepsis Definition Task Force recently published the new Phoenix criteria for sepsis and septic shock in children. In this talk we will introduction the development of the Phoenix Sepsis Score using a data-driven\, machine learning approach with an international database\, as well as the development and validation of the new Phoenix criteria for sepsis and septic shock. We will present the research methodology behind the Phoenix Sepsis Score\, drawing insights from extensive international data analysis and validation across diverse clinical settings.
