Fourth-Year Medical Students

Visiting Students

The Department of Pediatrics offers elective rotations to students who are currently enrolled in their fourth or final year M.D. or D.O. program at a school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education or Education Department of the American Osteopathic Association. University of Wisconsin medical students are given first priority for these electives. When there is space available after the UW medical students have gone through their scheduling program, the clerkships are open to 4th year medical students from other medical schools. Students enrolled in foreign medical institutions are not eligible for fourth-year courses unless they are a resident of the state of Wisconsin.

For more information, please see the visiting student clerkship website.
