Retirements

The Department of Pediatrics honors Sarah “Sally” Corden, MD, and Allen Wilson, MD, who retired in 2016.

Sarah “Sally” Corden, MD

Sarah “Sally” Corden, MDDr. Corden has been recognized with multiple Gold Star pins from the Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey program. She also served on several departmental and UW Health clinical committees and was involved in the UW Health primary care redesign initiative.

A dedicated teacher of medical students and pediatrics residents, Dr. Corden co-taught the Patient, Doctor and Society Course for first-year medical students and regularly participated in the Year-End Pediatric Skills Assessment. She has consistently received outstanding feedback on learner evaluations.

 

 

Allen Wilson, MD

Allen Wilson, MDDr. Wilson is a pediatric cardiologist with special interests in fetal and neonatal echocardiography and Kawasaki disease. A graduate of the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois, he completed his pediatric residency at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis and cardiology fellowship training at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago and Children’s Medical Center in Cincinnati.

Dr. Wilson joined the Department of Pediatrics faculty in 1986. From 1986 through 1994, he served as the director of pediatric and fetal echocardiography at what was then called UW Children's Hospital.

Currently an emeritus professor and rehired annuitant, Dr. Wilson provides medical oversight of people who participate in screening and study visits related to research in the laboratory of Marlowe Eldridge, MD. He also provides outreach cardiology services several days per month in Green Bay and Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
