Division Highlights - Emergency Medicine

The mission of the pediatric emergency medicine program at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and American Family Children’s Hospital is to advance pediatric emergency care through high-quality patient and family-centered care, innovative research, advocacy and education.

We train future leaders in pediatric emergency medicine, serve as an educational resource for healthcare providers and the community, and promote children’s health and safety through advocacy and public awareness.

Through innovative research on injury prevention, EMS education, acute pain management and patient simulation, we advance the discipline of pediatric emergency care throughout Wisconsin and beyond.
