General Pediatric Fourth-Year Electives

The goal of this rotation is the to provide the student with an in depth clinical experience in outpatient primary care pediatrics. Student will have the opportunity to:

  1. participate in the performance of normal newborn and well child care;
  2. participate in the assessment and care of acute illness and injury common to the ambulatory setting;
  3. become familiar with principles of care of the chronically ill child in the ambulatory setting.

This elective may be taken for 2 or 4 weeks. (Register as Individualized 4th year Clerkship in Pediatrics, contact timothy [dot] chybowski [at] uwmf [dot] wisc [dot] edu (Dr. Tim Chybowski) for approval of dates/block).
