These are outpatient-based electives with a focus on subspecialty pediatrics. These electives offer an excellent clinical exposure to subspecialty medicine. These electives afford significant opportunity for one on one interaction with pediatric faculty in caring for young patients with a wide range of conditions. The majority of the student’s time is spent in the outpatient specialty clinic with some time spent on inpatient consults. 4 week electives are available in the following specialties through OASIS:
- Pediatric Endocrinology
- Pediatric Pulmonology
- Pediatric Heme/Onc outpatient clinic
- Sports Medicine
- Adolescent Medicine
- Genetics
- Pediatric Neurology
- Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
