Clerkship Program - Influenza Case Study

Case Introduction

A father brings his four-year-old daughter into clinic for a check-up and some vaccinations. She is healthy and her father asks you if she needs an influenza vaccine. He heard a story about FluMist, an intranasal influenza vaccine on National Public Radio and wonders if this option would be safe and effective for his daughter. You are not familiar with this vaccine, but promise to check into the current research and availibility and call him at home later that night.
