Division Highlights - Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine provides family-centered care for children with respiratory disorders, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, and chronic lung disease.

Research efforts aim to improve the health of children with lung diseases.

2013 Highlights

  • Philip Farrell, MD, PhD, received the George Cunningham Visionary Award in Newborn Screening from the Association of Public Health Laboratories.
  • Kate Swenson, NP and Kathleen Shanovich, NP, received a $7,000 from the Evjue Foundation to support the Pediatric Asthma Clinic at Access Community Health Center.
