Overview

The Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology provides outstanding care for children with allergic, immunologic, and rheumatologic diseases.

Our integrated training program is designed to improve patient care and develop future clinicians and academicians.

Our research aims to:

  • Identify the connections between viral respiratory infections and asthma;
  • Evaluate T regulatory cell function in atopic diseases and asthma;
  • Understand how inflammatory cells migrate to sites of tissue inflammation;
  • Evaluate asthma therapies by participating in clinical research networks; and
  • Establish how gene by environment interactions participate in the expression of allergic diseases and asthma.
